Hi Everyone, I’m Mariela the founder of Mimitu Bakes.
Mimitu Bakes is very special to me. It takes me back to my childhood as a little girl, when I began learning my baking skills from my grandma Ivanka. She used to call me Mimi and always let me lick the bowl at the end of a baking session. My whole childhood was spent around chefs, with my both grandmas being chefs and working in large kitchens.
For the past 16 years I`ve pursued my passion holding many jobs in the Catering & Hospitality Industry.

. . . as well as First Aider and Covid Awareness, which helps me understand the importance of good hygiene and food handling.
I’ve also worked in many restaurants with rosette quality of patisseries and desserts.
Everything changed 2017 when I had my little boy and ever since then I wanted to be able to spend all the time I can with him.
It took a while but on the 1st of November 2019 I finally decided and registered Mimitu Bakes. Since then I`ve dedicated my time between my son and my baking.
I’m fully registered and insured and with so many years of experience in kitchens I found making cakes for Mimitu Bakes to be my passion and what I really love to do.
A Little Bit About Mimitu Bakes…
I’m always open to try new ideas and models. I can either make you something from my long collection of work, design you a bespoke cake or use picture’s and images that you like.
I love a challenge so I’m always happy to make a special design for you. I love to learn new techniques and I’m so excited for our journey together.
The main thing is – my cakes are always fresh. I do not bake them days in advance or freeze – this is a big NO in my kitchen.
